Preparing Missional Leaders

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind and your neighbor as yourself."             (Luke 10:27)

The Mission program emphasizes 'Wholistic Discipleship' which means that we are interested in discipling the whole person not just the spirit man. Our program focuses on 3 areas:  Knowing God, Being Christian through Personal Discipleship and Discipline, and Doing God's Will through practical hands-on ministry.

Knowing God:

  • Daily Individual and Corporate Prayer
  • Scripture Memorization
  • Reading through the Bible
  • College-level Biblical Studies --- 24 credit hours per year

Being Christian:

  • Community Living and Community of Faith Reflections
  • One-on-One Mentoring
  • Developing an understanding of Pentecostal Faith and Tradition
  • Development of the Spiritual Disciplines
  • Holistic Discipleship - Body, Soul, Spirit
  • Personal Integrity:  No Dating, Self-Discipline, Accountability to God and the Community of Faith

Doing God's Will:

  • Fulfilling theGreat Commission and developing a burden for lost souls
  • Doing practical, hands-on ministry in many different contexts
  • World Vision -- developing a passion for the people of the whole world; and for multi-cultural ministry.

Christ took a small group of students and taught them in a community setting and invited them to participate in ministry learning from their mistakes in a controlled environment.  In essence, Christ took 12, mentored 3 and removed 1!  Jesus Christ's life-on-life model of discipleship transformed the world!!
